Packing For A Lads Holiday: The Ultimate Checklist

Your first lads holiday is a day that a lot of mothers don’t look forward to and it is very understandable why. You are going to be packing for a night away from your family for the first time where they can keep an eye on you. Not only that but they will also be expecting to be drinking a lot and that is probably the case, especially when you are spending a few days away with your friends.

Once you have consoled your mother and told her you will be alright, you need to worry about packing for the holiday. What do you take on a lads holiday? Is it similar to a holiday with your parents? Absolutely not. Let’s take a look at what you need to pack when going on your first lads holiday.

Clothes

Starting with the clothes first, this can be different to what you pack when you are going away with your parents. Plus, think about the environment you are in. Are you at a hotel with a swimming pool or are you next to a beach? Or is it a winter city where you will need the extra layers? All of this is very important when it comes to your holiday with the lads.

Summer Holiday

Summer holidays will require the basics so this will be swim shorts, t-shirts, normal pairs of shorts, trainers, ankle socks and sliders/flip flops for when you are by the side of the pool or on the beach.

Regarding T-shirts, you will need a lot of these because you will need to wear some throughout the day and then a T-shirt during the evening. They shouldn’t be high in GSMs either because you will be too warm.

You’ll only need about 2 to 3 pairs of swim shorts along with other shorts that are for evening wear. Again, you will only need 2 to 3 pairs of shorts for this, depending on how long you are going for.

Ankle socks, you will need plenty of these throughout the day if you are wearing trainers and you’ll also need some for the evening. Additionally, you will also require lots of underwear to wear. Always pack a few extra pairs of socks and underwear when going on a lad’s holiday, no matter whether it is a summer or winter holiday.

Winter Holiday

For a winter holiday, you don’t need to worry about wearing swim shorts because you won’t be swimming, unless you are going to a spa or thermal baths with your friends but we highly doubt that. You won’t need shorts either if it is a winter holiday so you should consider bringing joggers or jeans.

In terms of your upper half, bring one winter coat, a couple of different jumpers and then T-shirts that are very high in GSMs because it can be much colder. T-shirts which are high in GSM are good because all you need to do is wear a coat over it throughout the day.

In terms of footwear, you will want to consider waterproof trainers that will keep your feet dry. You could even consider wearing boots if you know there is going to be some snow.

For clothing accessories, you may need to bring a pair of gloves with you but again, this depends on where you are going and how cold it is going to be.

Accessories

Now, it is time to look at the accessories and pieces of technology that you will need for your holiday. Starting with your shower bag first, you will need to bring shampoo, shower, hair styling products, deodorant and whatever else you use for cleanliness/body odour. Don’t forget to buy a new toothbrush and travel-sized toothpaste. Additionally, you will need an aftershave to keep you smelling nice in the evening.

Other items that you will need include a travel adaptor, a charger and also a portable charger for the flight. Remember to download a film for the flight journey or even a TV series that you have been watching. Additionally, bring an extension lead with you as we can imagine a lot of people will be charging their phones and you are being the team player allowing your friends to charge their phones.

To Conclude

As you can see, there are many things that you will need to bring for your lad’s holiday however, it depends on what type of holiday you are going on. That could be a winter city break, a summer city break or just a casual beach holiday. It could even be a villa away with your friends where you enjoy spending most of your time together. Whatever it is, make sure that you don’t under-pack for your holiday because buying items like nicopods when you are over there can be very costly and that will just eat away at your holiday spending.
